PEACE AND BLESSINGS TO YOU.
WE ARE A HOBBY FARM !
We are John and Jerrie.
We have at MARY'S HOMESTEAD, a big garden.
We have had rabbits and chickens at times but the garden is our first love.
We have written the MARY'S HOMESTEAD HANDBOOKS.
They are now free on our site. They are about our homesteading experiences. They have recipes, tips and instructions
on the homesteading life. Our mission is: TO HELP OTHERS WITH HOMESTEADING AND PREPAREDNESS FOR THE GLORY OF GOD. We have
a deep love for GOD and HOMESTEADING. The word homestead means self-sufficiency. We use heirloom seeds and organic plants.
John has a degree in horticulture. Jerrie has some home-economics education. We do not like the genetic engineering food,
and we try to use as much organic food as we can. We get so much joy and happiness from our garden. We believe in the heirloom
seeds. They have the most flavor and you can save them from year to year. Gardening is the best food storage that there
is, and it tastes so good !
UNEMPLOYMENT, THE BAIL OUT, OIL SHORTAGES,
NINO, HIGH GROCERY PRICES, WARS,
BLIZZARD, FLOODS, POWER OUTAGES, RADIATION, EARTHQUAKES,
AND GOOD HEALTHY FOOD!!!!
JERRIE AND JOHN HAVE HOMESTEADED
FOR many YEARS NOW.
WE INCLUDE PREPAREDNESS IN THE SUBJECT OF HOMESTEADING.
IS AN OLD FASHIONED SKILL OF JUST HAVING A LITTLE AHEAD,
DOING MORE COOKING AND BAKING, AND SKILLS LIKE CANNING
